What this part does

A pad sits between the driver and the floor. Its grade sets the job: a lighter pad for daily maintenance and finished surfaces, a heavier one for deep cleaning and stubborn soil. Because a pad works by contact rather than by bristle action, it delivers an even scrub on floors where a brush would leave swirl marks or dull the finish over time.
