The disc brush is the fastest-wearing part on a disc-deck floor scrubbing robot. Once it flattens, the machine still runs, still reports a completed task — and still leaves the floor looking dull. Replacing the brush is the single cheapest way to restore cleaning performance, and it is a consumable you will need several times a year.
What this part does
Mounted under the scrubbing deck, the disc brush rotates against the floor to lift soil into the water flow, which the squeegee then recovers. Its condition directly sets how clean the floor ends up: worn bristles reduce contact pressure, so the machine covers the same route with visibly less result.
Compatible models
This brush fits the disc version of our Scrubber 50 — the version that cleans 460 mm per pass. Scrubber 50 is also available with a roller deck, which uses a completely different part.
| Jaelin model | Part position | Nominal cleaning width | Typical replacement interval |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scrubber 50 (disc version) | Disc brush, under scrub deck | 460 mm | About 4 months on a normal shift schedule |
Looking for a brush for SC50 or SC80? Those two machines use a double-roller deck, not a disc deck — the part you need is the roller brush for SC50 and SC80. Ordering a disc brush for them is the most common part mistake buyers make on this platform.
Soft or firm — which scrubber 50 disc brush to order
This disc brush comes in a soft and a firm compound, and the choice matters more than most buyers expect:
- Soft — for coated, polished or easily scratched flooring: vinyl, epoxy, sealed stone, showroom and lobby floors. It cleans without dulling a finish you paid to have applied.
- Firm — for uncoated tile, concrete, terrazzo and floors with embedded grime. It removes more, and it also works the floor surface a little on every pass.
- If you are unsure: tell us the floor type and we will confirm which compound matches the machine.
When to replace it
- Scheduled: dealer maintenance schedules for this class of machine put the disc brush set at roughly 120 days of normal service. Abrasive floors, and firm brushes, wear faster.
- On condition: bristles visibly flattened or splayed, an uneven scrub pattern on the floor, or a drop in cleaning result that no amount of water or extra passes fixes.
- Pairs with: squeegee blades and filters. If you are replacing the brush, the squeegee blade kit is usually close behind it.
How to confirm you are ordering the right part
- Machine model as printed on the unit, and whether it is the disc or roller version.
- A photo of the brush fitted on the machine — that shows the mounting form immediately.
- A measurement across the brush with a tape measure in the frame.
Send those three and we will confirm the part rather than guess at it.
Ordering and pricing
Spare parts are quoted per order, because price depends on model, brush compound, quantity and destination. Tell us your machine model and how many units you need, and we will come back with a quote and lead time. Request a quote, or see the full range of spare parts and consumables.
