Side brushes are the reason a robot leaves a clean line where the floor meets the wall. They spin outboard of the main deck, flicking debris out of the corners and edges the deck cannot reach. When they wear short, nothing breaks and nothing alarms — the machine simply stops getting the last 100 mm, and your staff start doing the edges by hand again.
What this part does
Mounted either side of the cleaning deck, side brushes extend the effective cleaning path outward. On wide-area machines they are what make an advertised cleaning width real rather than theoretical, because corners and wall lines are where the difference between a clean floor and a “mostly clean” floor is visible to anyone standing in the building.

When a replacement side brush is due
- Visual: bristles worn to less than roughly half their original length, or splayed outward so they no longer reach the floor.
- On result: dust and debris reappearing along wall lines and in corners that used to come out clean.
- Buy in sets: side brushes wear at different rates on left and right, but replacing them as a matched set keeps the cleaning path even. This is the item most worth keeping a spare set of on site.
